Which Service is Right for You?

 Understanding the difference between psychotherapy and coaching is important when making the decision as to which is best for you and/or your family member. 

Coaching Services:

Coaching is a collaborative, solution-focused relationship between you and your coach. It involves problem-solving and motivation-building to help achieve your goals in the areas of wellness, finances, relationships and beyond. It is generally shorter-term, however can continue if the relationship is strong and new goals emerge over time.

Coaching is not meant to address the complexities of mental illness and substance use disorders, particularly if those symptoms are severe. Therefore, insurance plans do not cover coaching services. 

We have master’s level and certified life and relationship coaches available via telehealth to help you achieve your goals with a straight forward and efficient plan.

Psychotherapy Services:                                                              

 Psychotherapy tends to be a more in-depth process, in which your psychological and social history, mental health and substance use issues can be explored, and skills developed to cope more effectively. Your therapist will develop a treatment plan and goals with you, but also a relationship which allows vulnerability and emotional processing. You will be able to explore all areas of your life which either enhance or challenge your overall wellness. There may be collaboration with other providers in your treatment plan, especially where emergency mental health issues are concerned.

Our licensed, experienced therapists specialize in the treatment of multiple mental health concerns such as anxiety, depression, ADHD and compulsive behaviors. We typically utilize mindfulness-based cognitive behavioral therapy as our philosophical approach but can include various effective therapeutic interventions in individual, couples, and family therapy.
